Event Information

When: April 12-15, 2012
Where: Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Cleveland

Notacon is a weekend long event starting on the evening of Thursday April 12th, 2012 with a free preview and closes on the morning of Sunday, April 15th with wrap-up discussion and comment. The event features three tracks of discussions and presentations, workshops and performances. In addition, spaces are dedicated to hardware hacking and hackerspaces, video and tabletop games, amateur radio and our own streaming 24/7 radio stream, Notacon Radio.

Notacon is by and for creators and doers.  Everyone at Notacon is encouraged to be a participant instead of simply an attendee in whatever ways they feel comfortable. We are open to those of all skill and education levels and strongly encourage those new to the community to join us to learn and explore.

There are a couple of ways to attend Notacon. Those interested in presenting, performing, etc. are welcome to submit a proposal. Others are required to register for the event. We encourage everyone, including locals, to book a room at the conference hotel in order to maximize their Notacon experience. Finally, everyone is encouraged to participate in PixelJam, our version of a Demoparty by creating new works of 3D visual and audio art, photography or any of the other competitions held.
